Northern California Climate Change Adaptation Workshop

December 12-13, 2017 and December 14-15, 2017 • Eureka and Redding, CA • Six Rivers National Forest Supervisor's Office and Shasta-Trinity National Forest Supervisor's Office
Overview
This climate change adaptation workshop is one piece of a larger project entitled the Northern California Climate Adaptation Project, a collaborative effort between EcoAdapt, the U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region, and the Bureau of Land Management - California. The purpose of this project is to conduct a vulnerability assessment and develop climate-smart adaptation strategies for focal resources (habitats, species, species groups) of northwestern California, with a specific focus on the Six Rivers, Klamath, Shasta-Trinity, and Mendocino National Forests and Arcata, Redding, and portions of the Ukiah BLM field office areas.
The goal of this workshop is to develop adaptation strategies and actions for Northern California focal habitats and species based on the results of our vulnerability assessments.
