Resilience Ecosystem Workshop

January 17-18, 2018 • NOAA Science Center • 1301 East West Highway, Silver Spring, MD 20910
Overview
This 2-day meeting aims to forge an organizing framework for an open and inclusive "ecosystem" of public and private entities that are working to sustain and evolve science-based tools, information and expertise that can help communities, resource managers, and businesses build resilience to climate-related impacts and extreme events. We have been referring to this loose cooperative as the "Resilience Ecosystem." Participants will identify opportunities to collaborate in synergistic projects in which the whole is greater than the sum of parts, and to produce outputs and outcomes that are beneficial to all. Some projects will have opportunities to receive seed funding.
What is the Resilience Ecosystem?
The Resilience Ecosystem is comprised of organizations and individuals currently engaged in helping the nation understand and prepare for current and forthcoming effects of a changing climate. It is an open and inclusive community of climate adaptation professionals who collaboratively identify and pursue open-source and proprietary collaboration for the benefit of all.
